Fanny Carinasdotter

About

Kochiphoto: Meisai Okamoto 2015

In her art, Fanny Carinasdotter investigates places planned for specific purposes, human use and abuse of nature and the traces we leave behind. She works with a documentary approach in her photography, which she combines with interviews and archival materials.

Since 2016 she has collaborated with the artists Anja Örn and Tomas Örn in Luleå under the name Norrakollektivet (the Northern Collective). Together they investigate the Aitik mine in Gällivare municipality and the consequences as the mine expands.
